Since its release on PC in 2015, Grand Theft Auto 5 has remained one of the most popular and enduring titles in the gaming world. However, for the past few years, PC players have been missing out on the Expanded and Enhanced features that came to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in 2022. A Long-Awaited Update Despite being the most powerful platform for gaming, PC players have long had to wait for the upgrades that were introduced to consoles almost three years ago. New Features Coming to PC The upcoming update includes several major changes and additions for GTA 5 players on PC: Improved Visuals and Performance: Expect better loading times, higher frame rates, and improved graphics. The update will make the game run smoother and look better, especially for players with higher-end PCs. Expanded Vehicle Customization: The update will include the highly anticipated Hao’s Special Works, which allows players to apply advanced modifications to their cars. Five new vehicles, including the Coil Cyclone II and Pfister Astron Custom, will be added to the game, alongside 20 existing cars that will now have new upgrade options. New Gameplay Features: Rockstar is adding a Wildlife Photography Challenge where players can spot and photograph animals for daily rewards. Additionally, GTA+ will make its debut on PC, offering exclusive benefits for members, such as special rewards and discounts. Ongoing Support for Older Hardware: Rockstar has confirmed that the original version of GTA 5 will still be available for players who have less powerful PCs. This ensures that players with older hardware won’t be left behind, especially considering the importance of the FiveM community. Why the Wait? While the delay in bringing the update to PC has frustrated some fans, it’s likely due to the unique challenges involved in implementing these features. Rockstar has also focused on the console versions in recent years, which may have contributed to the slower rollout for PC.
